Seeking a finance/accounting professional who will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s financial planning and analysis efforts. 

This position will support the forecasting process, assist in financial reporting, and undertake ad hoc analysis. 

Candidates should have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 

The ideal candidate will be located within the Los Angeles area but candidates located remotely throughout the United States with the desired experience will be considered as well. 

This role will report to the Director of Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Will include but are not limited to;

  • Prepare weekly/monthly management reports and contribute to financial analysis, including on ad hoc requests and collaborative projects with other departments.
    • Weekly Bookings/Sales Report
    • Weekly Awards Report: Monthly revenue forecast based on Percentage of completion/ Work in progress
    • Weekly freelance and outsource services report
    • Weekly Utilization reports
  • Responsible for the company’s revenue recognition process in accordance with Accounting Standards Codification 606 (“ASC 606”)
  • Working hand in hand with production & scheduling to ensure data is timely and accurately entered into ICFM
  • Act as a liaison between Accounting and Production to better manage Project Costings, Project Billing & Collections, and other needs as they arise
  • Assist with month end close – revenue recognition calculations and validating accruals
  • Assist with annual year end audit

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate should have understanding of or the willingness to quickly learn;

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience as a production or management accountant
  • Solid understanding of GAAP/FASB 606
  • Financial Statement Analysis
  • ICFM/CETA experience highly preferable
  • Excel Level: Advanced (VBA experience is a plus)
  • Excellent analysis skills with an eye for detail
  • Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges

The salary for this position will range from $75k – $110k annually depending on candidate experience.
