The role:

The Designer will play an important role in delivering motion graphic solutions across This is Beyond’s seven shows, both over the annual campaigns and onsite when required. 

They must be passionate about all things design – online, offline, multimedia, film, and photography – but also a specialist in creative motion design and artworking with experience of events, brand creation, and execution.

The role will work closely with the Marketing and Operations Team to ensure timely development and delivery of assets as part of the overall yearly campaigns. The right candidate must individually be able to take all work from the concept stage, right through to production.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate within the creative team to conceptualise and develop engaging motion graphics and animations that communicate our brand and campaign message effectively.
  • Create visually stunning video content for various marketing campaigns, social media platforms, digital signage, websites, and other digital channels.
  • Work closely with the marketing and operation teams to ensure consistency in brand identity and messaging across all visual assets.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in motion design, animation, and video production techniques.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to project timelines and deadlines.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and concepts for visual storytelling.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Animation, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in motion design, animation, or video production, preferably in a creative agency or studio environment.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator. Knowledge of Cinema 4D or other 3D animation software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present ideas effectively and receive constructive feedback.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually compelling content.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A portfolio demonstrating a range of motion design work, including animations, video editing, and visual effects.

Good to have:

  • Experience working with clients in various industries, including [specific industries relevant to the company].
  • Knowledge of motion design trends in digital marketing, advertising, and social media.
  • Basic understanding of UX/UI design principles and interactive media.
  • Familiarity with video editing techniques, colour correction, and sound design.
