We are hiring a Motion Designer who loves bringing ideas to life through movement, editing and visual storytelling.
Working across Publicis Media UK, you’ll create everything from short-form content and explainers to sizzle reels, mood films and pitch work.
This is a role for someone who cares about the craft behind great content and wants to develop their creative voice while taking increasing ownership of projects.
You’ll join a collaborative, multidisciplinary creative team where curiosity, ideas and thoughtful execution are valued.
What you'll be doing:
- Create engaging short-form content across 2D motion design and video editing, balancing visual craft with pacing, sound and storytelling.
- Bring ideas and strategies to life for new business pitches through motion, editing and creative storytelling.
- Work across an approximate 60/40 mix of motion design and video editing, creating content for different audiences, agencies and briefs.
- Contribute ideas throughout the creative process, helping develop concepts, shape scripts and find compelling ways to tell stories.
- Build experience across the full video production process, taking increasing ownership from initial brief through to final delivery.
- Shoot and edit content while developing your practical production skills across camera operation, lighting, composition and sound.
- Keep projects, assets and workflows organised while collaborating with creatives and stakeholders to deliver high-quality work effectively.
Skills we're looking for:
- Strong foundations in 2D motion design and video editing, including practical experience with After Effects and Premiere Pro.
- A good understanding of animation and editing craft, including timing, pacing, rhythm, composition, hierarchy, transitions and storytelling.
- Creative judgement and curiosity, with the ability to think about the audience, purpose and idea behind the work, not simply the software used to create it.
- An interest in developing your craft, experimenting with new approaches and exploring emerging technologies, including AI-assisted image and video creation.
- Clear, collaborative communication skills and the ability to work positively with creatives, teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple pieces of work and changing priorities.
- An adaptable, proactive approach, comfortable asking questions, seeking context and taking greater ownership as you develop in the role.
