McCann Content Studio is a department within McCann New York responsible for the development, ideation, and execution of social-focused brand campaigns.
The McCann Content Studio is defined by hybrid skillsets and driven by modern online culture, and you’ll be working on a wide variety of projects for some of the best loved brands in the U.S. across multiple consumer categories.
The Job
We're seeking a visionary Social Creative, Motion Designer/Animator to lead the conceptualization and production of social-first animations and motion graphics.
This role combines creative ideation, deep platform knowledge and executional experience with motion design, digital graphics and more to create thumb-stopping content that resonates across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
You will be expected to partner with Creative Leads both inside of McCann Content Studio as well as the larger McCann agency to support the development of animated video and digital content for our clients.

What You Do:
· As full-time Social Creative, Motion Designer/Animator, you’ll be responsible for staying up-to-speed with social trends and culture to develop content ideas for a client’s TikTok, Instagram and Facebook accounts
· You’ll be tasked with developing ideas and assets within a brand’s tone, visual identity and social strategy to bring to life through social content, influencer activations, or day-to-day community management
· You’ll work closely with Creative Directors and Social Creatives to produce compelling short-form video content and animated assets across channels
What You Bring:
· A passion for helping brands show up in new and smart ways on social
· In-depth knowledge of platform behaviors, formats, and trends across channels like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok
· Ability to work to brand guidelines and stay true to company objectives
· Able to manage multiple projects and work quickly within deadlines
· Proficiency in industry-standard software like After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator
· Understanding of Cinema 4D or other 3D animation tools for more complex projects
· Knowledge of animation principles (timing, spacing, easing, etc.)
· Experience with frame-by-frame animation and keyframing
· Understanding of video codecs, rendering, and file optimization for different platforms

Location:
McCann New York team members must reside in or be willing to relocate to the New York Tristate area unless otherwise agreed upon by their manager and McCann New York’s Human Resources team. McCann New York is a hybrid workplace with three days in-office per week.
Salary Range:
The salary for this position is $85,000 - $100,000.
Salary ranges depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
