The Role

As a Motion Designer, you’ll be an integral part of our design studio team, responsible for generating and executing compelling ideas that resonate with clients and audiences across a multitude of creative outputs. 

You’ll show an artistic and innovative eye, have a clear understanding of design principles overall, as well as those specific to motion design. You’ll be sensitive to design theory, layout, graphic design and show visual skills beyond keyframes and technical knowledge. 

As a collaborative team member, you’ll work closely with our Creative Directors, Art Directors and Motion Design Leads to bring our Client’s initial scripts and ideas to life. 

You’ll bring to the table a balanced and diverse portfolio of work that demonstrates different techniques of motion design and animation, that is inspired by and kept up to date with current design trends and technology.

Qualifications

Key Skills Of The Motion Designer

  • Proficient in Cinema 4D and comfortable creating, designing and animating within 3D workflows.
  • Working - advanced knowledge of After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Working knowledge of Houdini is a plus.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and rigorous quality control.
  • Report to the design leads, directors, creative directors and senior members of the team to execute briefs collaboratively, successfully and on schedule.
  • Adept at creating styleframes and imagery for treatments, making relevant, effective suggestions to help steer the creative.
  • Show conceptual thinking, ideas, and the desire to be part of the creative process.
  • An ideas driven designer, who draws from a wide range of disciplines and inspirational sources, staying up to date with current design trends and technology.
  • Contribute your knowledge and expertise towards the quoting and planning of projects.
  • Introvert or extrovert, you’re collaborative, keen to take direction and aim to improve and build on your skills constantly.
  • You have industry experience, either as a freelancer or within a motion-design studio along with evidence of work done on completed commercial projects.
