NBCUniversal’s streaming service, Peacock, seeks a motivated and innovative Sr. Motion Designer for its in-house Brand Creative Marketing team (supporting Brand, On-Platform Creative, Product Marketing and Performance Media). 

Reporting directly to the Head of Design, the successful candidate will be integral to a highly collaborative creative team, leading the motion design articulation of the Peacock Brand.

A visual problem solver, and storyteller, the Sr. Motion Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing design through all stages of production, taking ideas from concept to execution in both video and digital advertising. 

Working within a larger team of creative professionals, supporting company goals and media initiatives, the Senior Motion Designer will create video design content for various assignments across all video, mobile platforms, social media, and all emerging media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and production of motion graphics and animation for various digital platforms including brand, on-platform creative, product marketing and performance media.
  • Lead the implementation of the Peacock design system across all working teams; recommend best practices and workflows
  • Mentor, coach, and uplevel motion and product design around motion best practices; collaborate with other motion designers to work through challenges
  • Experience utilizing Figma / Figma-constructed assets to ingest into motion tooling and/or leading the production of Product toolkits for marketing creative
  • Provide visible support and incorporate leadership’s feedback to design and animation work while helping build a unified team mindset.
  • Collaborate with the Peacock viewing product team to appropriately interpret Peacock product design for creative marketing campaigns and assets.
  • Develop design solutions that fulfill all requirements as presented in creative and marketing briefs
  • Work with project managers and creative producers to assign projects to motion designers based on skillset, project desire and expertise.
  • Create 2D/3D assets, video graphics packages, social design, infographics, storyboards, toolkits, templates and style guides.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • + years of motion design experience, 4+ years of leading complex projects across brand, DTC/streaming products, performance media or growth marketing-driven teams (in-house or studio/agency); link to online portfolio of work that showcases your unbridled design passion required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Deep knowledge of motion graphic templates and workflows.
  • Exceptional typography, design, and color theory knowledge. Strong demonstration of visual craft and attention to detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to comprehend and execute instructions thoroughly and precisely.
  • Awareness in developing toolkits and guidelines for high-volume production.
  • Ability and desire to flex high & low to inform strategic decisions as well as execute detailed hands-on work
  • Outstanding time management capabilities, with the capacity to work independently and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Flexibility to work on a changing schedule, including quick-turn or last-minute assignments.
  • Experience in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

    Preferred Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree, or Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design/motion design preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in working with renowned brands and managing brand-centric projects.
  • Experience leading a team of motion designers and other creative thought leaders.

  • Cinema 4D experience is a plus.


    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

    Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000 (bonus eligible)
