Rockstar is seeking a talented Nuke Compositor to add to our Video Production team in our San Diego studio.
The position would collaborate with other Compositors to perform Nuke work, maintaining an existing style and workflow.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s new state-of-the-art game development studio in Carlsbad, CA.
WHAT WE DO
- The Video Production Creative Services Team works within the Marketing Department to create all trailers and video assets released online, social media, Broadcast TV and in Cinema.
- The Team produces multiple versions of video assets for various international territories and platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- 2D and 3D Track, matchmove, composite, paint, and roto work following our current standards and style.
- Analyze various types of video footage and understand issues to be resolved, noting work needed, and following up with feedback on your work until it is completed and approved.
- Function in a fast-paced environment with tight turnarounds.
- Work closely with Lead, other Nuke Compositors, Motion Graphics artists, and Producers on workload and deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience working as a Nuke Compositor.
- Excellent working knowledge of The Foundry NukeX, Mocha Tracker software and plug-ins.
- Experience with various formats, frame rates, and compression details.
- Experience working in a team environment with other animators as part of a larger production pipeline.
SKILLS
- Strong communication skills and ability to foster collaboration and transparency within the team.
- Strong artistic aesthetic and eye for detail.
- Some knowledge of Python scripting within Nuke to build and edit custom tools.
- Ability to work well with various styles and methods of execution.
PLUSES
Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.
- Experience in Film/TV Motion Title sequences considered a plus.
- Design experience considered a plus.
- Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects knowledge a plus.

San Diego Base Pay Range: $85,700 - $120,000 USD
The pay range for this position in San Diego at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
