Woodwork is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Creative Lead to join our team. 

This individual will play a key role in transforming client briefings into compelling visual treatments and leading projects from conception through to execution. 

The ideal candidate is someone who is not only a creative thinker but also a doer, willing to roll up their sleeves and bring their visions to life. 

The candidate should have a background in or strong affinity with Motion Design.

The position is preferably a full-time position for five days a week. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conceptualization and Innovation: Interpret client briefings to develop innovative concepts and treatments that resonate with their objectives. Your ability to think outside the box and propose unique solutions will be key. 
  • Creative Leadership: Guide the creative process to ensure that concepts are not only compelling and on-brand but also achievable within the set budget and timeline constraints. Your leadership will ensure that projects maintain their creative integrity from start to finish. 
  • Collaborative Execution: Work closely with the creative team, providing clear and concise briefings to ensure a unified vision is executed across all project phases. Your hands-on approach in design and animation will directly contribute to the projects' success. 
  • Trend Awareness and Technical Proficiency: Stay on top of industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously elevate our creative output and workflows. Your expertise in motion design software and techniques will be fundamental in keeping our work at the forefront of the industry. 
  • Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and inspiration to junior team members, fostering a culture of creativity, learning, and professional growth. Your guidance will help nurture the next generation of creative talents within our studio. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in motion design and concept development, ideally within a creative agency or studio environment. 
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of motion design work, including concept development and visual storytelling. - Expertise in motion graphics software such as After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Keen understanding of design and animation pipeline. 
  • Leadership experience. 

SKILLS: 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and rationales to both team members and clients. 
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to creative problem-solving and project management. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that each meets the studio's high standards for creativity and execution. 
  • Willingness to engage in hands-on design and animation work and support the team in executing projects to the highest standards. - Expert eye for design and visual storytelling.

DAILY WORK DESCRIPTION:

  • Ideation and conceptualization. 
  • Produce sketches, storyboards, roughs to visualize ideas. 
  • Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience. 
  • Work with and indicate the feasibility in timing and budget as discussed with the producer. 
  • Directing the team. 
  • Cooperate with the rest of the creative team across different types of media. 
  • Develop concept ideas and guidelines. 
  • Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines. 
  • Oversee production teams and ensure that all efforts lead to creative outcomes that are high-quality and on-brand. 
  • Manage, lead and delegate responsibilities to other assigned team members and provide directions. 
  • Prioritize key activities for the team. 
  • Present completed ideas to clients/team members. 
  • Quality check before final delivery. 
  • Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices. 
  • Initiate improvements of the team to the Creative Director (skills, recruitment) 
  • Reporting to Producer and the Creative Director.
