About FutureDeluxe

FutureDeluxe is a global creative studio with offices in London, New York, Los Angeles and Sydney.  We combine design, technology and moving image to craft visual experiences for future facing brands.  We are a diverse group of artists, directors, designers, creative technologists and administrative professionals who thrive in an environment based on experimentation, collaboration and innovation.  From concept through to final delivery, we collaborate with brands to explore, imagine and define their future vision.

This role is embedded within a dedicated client account, requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and technical skills to execute high-quality creative output.  As Project Director, you will lead a high-volume, multi-workstream retainer for a global brand, ensuring seamless execution across CGI and motion design projects. You will own project strategy, financial oversight, and workflow optimisation - aligning internal teams and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality creative work both efficiently and profitably.

With your sharp instincts and problem-solving skills, you navigate challenges before they become roadblocks. You ask the right questions, anticipate needs, and keep everyone informed—because if something’s happening, you already know about it. Your superpower? Making sure everything runs smoothly, so the team can focus on delivering outstanding creative work.

The Opportunity:

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary client contact for senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment on strategy, scope, and priorities, and acting as a liaison between them and the creative production team.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Define project scope, develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and ensure effective workstream structures for seamless execution.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate personnel, equipment, and budgets efficiently to optimize project outcomes and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Financial Management: Own and manage the financial health of the retainer, tracking monthly utilization, reconciling budgets, and preventing over-servicing to maintain financial sustainability.
  • Process Improvement: Implement and refine workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cross-team collaboration, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate transparent communication across internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering alignment and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, proactively develop mitigation strategies, and escalate challenges as needed to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor project quality, ensuring all creative outputs align with brand vision and production standards.
  • Budget Management: Track project budgets, analyze financial performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project scope and client satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed reports on project performance, including budget vs. actual tracking, status updates, and key learnings for continuous improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead the internal team, including project management and production functions, to maintain high standards of execution, set clear expectations, and foster a collaborative working environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in project management, production, or operations within a creative or motion design studio.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale retainers with multiple workstreams.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing producers and project managers.
  • Deep understanding of CGI, motion design, and content production workflows.

The duties and responsibilities are subject to change at the discretion of management.  We thank you for your interest; however, only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted for follow-up.
