Job Description:
Giant Ant is looking for a talented Junior-Level 2D Animator (After Effects) that adores keyframes, dreams about snappy transitions, and feels right at home in the graph editor.
At Giant Ant, the Junior 2D Animator is able to work on a variety of projects, styles and techniques. They collaborate with and learn from others to create high-level animation work for our various clients. They are efficient, proactive, communicative, curious and organized. They can transition in and out of projects smoothly and have a good knowledge of the workflow. They present a high level of professionalism, commitment, proactiveness, originality, resilience and camaraderie.
Responsibilities:
- Working to learn and develop technical skills
- Assignments will be given within wheelhouse, stretch assignments given to learn, including leading certain jobs
- Expected to be able to take direction from the Animation Director and execute beautiful animation.
- Shows initiative and ability to self-direct
- Produce exceptional animation work in a variety of styles
- Accurately estimate and manage time
- Communicate productively with other animators, leads, designers, producers and directors
- Efficiently respond to feedback and revisions
- Contribute to creative ideas
- Can provide R&D and technical support
- Rendering and outputting client-ready reviews and masters
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of the Adobe Suite
- Supporting software knowledge and techniques a plus (cel animation, design, illustration, 3D and so on)
- Proficient knowledge of animation fundamentals
- Understands pipeline
- Good design sensibility a plus
- Excellent organization, communication, time management, collaboration, self-tasking and listening skills
- Proactiveness and positivity
Compensation
$65,000 - $90,000 CAD
