Senior Systems Engineer
Reporting to: Global Head of IT at Forever

You take charge of the entire IT system that supports the company’s goals, and you are the kind of problem solver who is willing to step beyond your comfort zone to help others. You act as a mentor, supporter and calming presence in moments of pressure and progress, communicating clearly with both the IT team and the wider company. Above all, you step up when needed, take on new challenges, and play a central role in keeping our studios running smoothly.
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in creative-driven, 3D production-based studios
- Experience with 3D or motion graphics production pipelines, tools and teams
- Experience with 3D rendering pipelines, ideally Deadline
- Generalist IT knowledge spanning the specifics of creative production pipelines and all other IT infrastructure needed to support creative teams
- Experience in managing Windows, Mac and Linux-based systems and servers
- Excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and a passion for technology and the creative process
- An individual who thrives in being part of a team of professionals, willing to share knowledge, encouragement and a passion for cutting-edge equipment and software
The Opportunity:
- Taking responsibility for and managing the IT operations and infrastructure across all FutureDeluxe studio locations
- Collaborating closely with the Production, Finance and IT teams across multiple studio locations, ensuring that the IT infrastructure performs at its best to support our artists and production pipeline
- Overseeing storage, utility, authentication, licensing and other related servers to ensure reliable access across all locations
- Working with production managers to ensure adequate resources (rendering, licensing, etc.) are available for all jobs in the production pipeline
- Monitoring and reviewing software usage to optimise license and subscription numbers
- Supporting, mentoring and collaborating with junior and senior IT colleagues
- Working with the Finance team to ensure invoices are submitted, categorised, and payment schedules are communicated and followed
- Planning and delegating IT maintenance, repairs and upgrades around production schedules
- Staying informed about new devices and technologies, and assessing their relevance to the studio or studios
- Planning and administering LAN, WiFi, VPNs and other networking projects for each studio
- Reviewing and overseeing the deployment of security patches, fixes and updates across all systems
- Contributing to and helping deliver annual and on-demand security audits required by clients and internal policy requirements
- Stepping into cross-studio responsibilities where needed and ensuring alignment across locations
Come Prepared to Talk about:
- How you’ve supported production-led environments and ensured reliable rendering, licensing and workstation availability
- Your experience with Active Directory, including GPOs, domains and directory structure
- Your network configuration and administration knowledge
- How you’ve planned and delivered workflow improvements or technical upgrades
- Experience with cloud services, networking, security patching and enterprise-level authentication
- Examples of stepping in to mentor others, or helping teams during pressure points
- AI: your experience up to now, and how AI can benefit an organisation such as ours
