Job Description

We are looking for a motion designer who can help develop and bring original concepts to life. Strong conceptual abilities with a dedication to craft. The ability to help shape the design and art direction of campaigns.

As part of our design team, you create video content and assets for use across a wide variety of media, including TV, Digital display, social media, mobile platforms, and emerging media. 

You work with a larger team of creative professionals, supporting company goals and media initiatives, meaning that a collaborative mindset is an absolute must.

Our ideal candidate is an expert in Adobe Suite, Adobe After Effects and 3D capabilities are a must. 

You should also be an expert in other common motion software and willing to explore new emerging production techniques .

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for developing creative concepts into world-class advertising campaigns across multiple touchpoints .
  • Creating original motion designs for, but not limited to: OOH, social, tv, global toolkits, and visual & brand guidelines .
  • Oversee the entire motion process from concept to delivery working closely with both creatives and production partners along the way.
  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure solutions meet or exceed our clients’ strategic objectives.
  • Working on multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meeting your deadlines and supporting your team members to meet theirs
  • Following the correct design processes and creating high-quality deliverables for projects
  • Mentoring and providing direction and guidance to junior members of the team, and delegating work when required
  • Helping producers scope projects and giving time estimates needed to complete your work
  • Offer up new ideas, ways of working and techniques to keep work original and relevant.

What it takes:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of both concept and craft.
  • Super visual concepting skills to solve problems and create original solutions.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale projects across a variety of formats.
  • Being motivated, goal-oriented, persistent and a good communicator .
  • Ability to articulate and champion your ideas both internally and in front of clients .
  • Be a team player.
  • Having a keen eye for detail – your work is produced to pixel perfection
  • An ability to prioritise and organise work within an existing design process .
  • Collaboration and creative judgement
  • Being pioneering, curious and not afraid to take risks to keep on top of industry trends

Qualifications

  • You preferably have an advertising agency background.
  • You have a portfolio showcasing a range of beautifully crafted campaign and branding projects where you have led the work and been involved in concepting.
  • You have thorough knowledge of motion design processes and limitations.
  • Advanced skills in motion graphics and animation.
  • Solid working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop Illustrator, Cinema 4D and Redshift.
  • Knowledge of Premiere, Universe and VFX Suite is a bonus
  • A strong understanding of typography, design elements and principles and best practices across different media.
  • A strong understanding of storytelling/narrative structure, pacing, graphics, music, shot selection and all key aspects of audio visual content.
  • An understanding of VFX, live-action integration, camera and object tracking, rotoscope, and 3D compositing is a bonus
  • A never-ending desire to learn new techniques and technology to advance your craft.
  • Superb visual and conceptual skills to solve problems and create novel solutions.
  • Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and determine a plan that will ensure they are met or exceeded.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders, internal teams, and clients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
