We are looking for a full-time, on-site VFX Artist to join our team. 

The position involves a wide range of tasks, as a medium-sized studio requires a generalist of sorts, preferably with certain specialties in the field. This could include a focus on compositing, or particle FX for instance.

The position is full-time in Minneapolis. Relocation is required.

Starting date: May-July (exact date is negotiable).

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Work with VFX Supervisors, and Producers to complete shots in a timely manner while communicating effectively and clearly.

• Balance multiple projects, in a fast-paced commercial environment.

• Pay close attention to detail and own your shots.

• Ability to work in a nimble manner, balancing artistic integrity and deadlines.

• Come up with clever solutions to improve workflow.

• Experience lighting/rendering 3D passes a big plus.

• Communication is key. It bears repeating. 

Requirements:

• Strong sense of organization, artistic ability, and attention to detail as well as an eye for composition, light, and color.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Good problem-solving skills and ability to do self-directed learning.

• Ability to follow feedback and instruction from supervisors and leads.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be proficient in Nuke.

• Experience in keying, tracking, and roto.

• Experience in compositing both live action elements as well as pure CG composites.,

• A natural ability to collaborate with others and thrive in a dynamic deadline-driven environment.

• Possess a solid understanding of industry trends combined with a willingness to explore new techniques and approaches.
